So you set the goal, now what?
You need a plan. It is a good idea to use eating plans that are known to be successful. The fact is, you have been on an “eating plan”. Your current “eating plan” is keeping you heavy and unhealthy. Commit to changing to a plan that will help you attain and maintain a healthy weight and healthy body. Once you find one that works, you can tweak it.
There are a lot of diets and gimmicks out there. They promise great results with no effort on your part. “Lose 50 Pounds Eating ____________ (fill in the blank). That is a great pick up line. How often have you bought into that line. Literally.
It doesn’t matter if you have always been overweight or newly sporting a thicker body thanks to menopause, starting an exercise program can be daunting. The point is to START.
Can a computer game help get you fit? You bet it can. The Nintendo Wii game gets you up off the couch and having fun.
Let’s say you can’t walk well. It could be issues with the legs. It could be excessive weight. Someone might need non-weight bearing exercise. Do Not Give Up! What do you do? Have you thought of water exercises and swimming?!
Exercise has to be part of any weight management program. Plain and simple. It tones your muscles, increases flexibility and range of motion. It boosts your metabolism, burns calories and clears the mind.
So, why make exercise hard and boring? You don’t need a gym or expensive equipment either. Everybody likes to play with a ball!

Time! Yes, “time”. Do you take the time to plan your menu and shopping list? Do you take the time to cook, really healthy foods? Do you take the time to prepare healthy snacks, so that you are ready when you are hungry? Do you take the time to eat? Do you take the time to exercise?
