So it is Saturday January 2nd! We are through New Years Eve and New Years Day! Did you make any resolutions? Have they gone out the window yet? I hope not.

First off, don’t take on too big of a change. You are not as likely to be successful when you make too big a jump. If you have been a staunch meat eater your whole life and you have decided to go vegan vegetarianism, and add 10 hours of exercise a week as you try to de-stress from your job, it probably won’t work. Pick one thing.

If you are including a change in your diet, how much research have you done? Do you know how you want to carry out your  changes? Have you cleared out your refrigerator and cupboards of foods you will not be eating? Have you planned out your menu and have you stocked up with foods that will support your new eating choices.

Today is Saturday. It is a great day to set your self up for your new eating resolution. Look up some diets and choose one that you think you can follow. Many diets have starting menus to help. Clean out the frig. Shop for the foods on you new diet choice.

Get a journal. Writing down your goals and daily journey will help keep you on course. Keep your goal easy. If you have 50# to lose, start with a 10# weight loss goal.

Get a friend who wants to lose weight do it with you. If you have support, you have a better chance of success.

Begin. Beginning has boldness. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.

Choice: what you put into your mouth is a choice. Just make “One Healthy Choice at a Time.” (I can quote myself)!
